The Band

The Singing The Bones ensemble leads audiences with riveting folk music from around the world, exploring reconnection to ancestral cultures as Americans through music and cultural legacy. Many of us grow up disconnected from our ancestral cultures in some way, requiring us to consciously turn towards our histories and study to learn the songs, festivities, and folklore that lie there. The ensemble weaves elements of community singing, teaching songs throughout their show, summoning the joy of singing together.
Singing the Bones engages a mix of performance and community singing, facilitating community music-making in a supportive, accessible environment.
